A No-Fail Way To Stop Procrastinating?

The Hometalk Team
by The Hometalk Team
To the outside world, Hometalkers might seem like the most productive people on the planet. Surely people who can create a full mudroom from a single kitchen cabinet (did you see that one?!) have no trouble getting their projects done. But, alas - we're all human. Project procrastination is real and we've all been there. Do you have any advice to share with your fellow Hometalkers? What helps you get over the procrastination hump and get it DONE?

I don't allow myself to purchase anything other than for the project I'm working on (I guess we all work in our own way!). That keeps me focused on one project to get done before starting another. Then I don't have stuff laying around that I've lost interest in because it took too long or I forgot what that particular item was to be used for.,,and that saves me money too no matter how cheap I got it because there were times stuff got donated or tossed. And I've learned there are always cute ideas out there..so if a particular project didn't get done, then it wasn't meant to be :D

I determine that I will work at something for 15 minutes. That is especially possible for gardening chores or a sewing project. 15 minutes go by very quickly and often find I am working at something much longer. I also make a list of things that I want to do today and in the next few months. When I was working, I would tackle the most difficult or dreaded projects first thing in the morning, that's when I have the most energy.
