Covering Trampoline Springs With Pool Noodles

We were blessed by our neighbors a few years ago, in the form of a trampoline. Our children were thrilled and have spent more hours than I ever imagined they would. My son especially loves the trampoline and you will find him on it almost every day. I saw the idea to cover the springs with pool noodles and decided it would be so fun to do!
The trampoline didn't have a mat to cover the springs anymore. I came across the idea to cover the trampoline springs with pool noodles! This looked like it would be fun, easy and affordable. Besides adding a great pop of color! And I love bright, happy colors.

You will need pool noodles and something to cut with. A pair of kitchen shears worked for us. {Adult supervision with children helping, recommended.}
We gathered up pool noodles, measured and began to cut them. When cutting, take into consideration the streeeeeeetch the spring will have when connected to the trampoline. I didn't. Not a big deal, it just doesn't completely cover the whole spring once connected to the mat.

You can read more about it and see more pictures in my blogpost. Just click on the link at the bottom of this post.
Ready for jumping with a festive summertime look!

    Can these be used on a mini trampoline/rebounder do you reckon?
  • so what stops them from putting leg through them and breaking a leg? They usually have a cover over that whole edge. I would only use the noodles under a cover period. If they fall in between and then fall off you have a disaster there.

    Amazing idea. Love it.

    where did you buy the noodles? Hoe big the diameter should be?
