Living Room Refresh - Paint Goes a Long Way!

One of the first things we did when we moved into our old farmhouse was paint the wood paneling in our living room and I am so glad we did!
After living with it a week I felt like there was something dark and sleepy about it...I literally felt like taking a nap every time we walked in our living room. We had a lot of work to do fixing up this house so taking lots of naps wasn't really going to work :).

I didn't take any pics of us painting the room ( I hadn't started blogging yet:) but believe me when I say it took a ton of white paint!!!
Here's a pic of the living room before with the dark sage green trim in the room.
Here another pic of the room from our foyer after the room was painted. I have a love affair with white trim. It is classic, like vanilla ice cream. You can never go wrong with white. White or light paint allows you the freedom to be more bold with furniture, pillows, curtains, and decorations. It also is a lot easier to bring in seasonal decorations and not worry about things clashing. We still have a lot more rooms to redo and more white paint to add but to see more pics of our living room and the rest of our house, click the link below and it will take you to my blog, Lehman Lane :).
