Confederate Jasmine

i planted a Confederate Jasmine a year ago and it has not grown at all. it is in partial sun/shade. Suggestions?

You need to try the Garden Rebel method of feeding more often , starting in the spring. I would use epsom salts, bone meal and Azalea food and be sure to water in.

Confederate Jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) is usually listed as a plant hardy in zones 9 and 10 so it would be rare to find one living outdoors in Raleigh. People in the warmest section of zone 8 can get it to survive in a very protected location. The white, very fragrant blooms make it a nice houseplant if you have the space for it. Occasionally plant societies or club groups will sell the yellow flowered jessamines (Jasminum) as Confederate Jasmine. The location you describe would be a good location for jessamine but it is slow to establish.

I have it growing next to my house in zone 7B and it doesn't get much winter damage. When it does freeze I just prune off the damaged stuff. Follow Rebel''s advice and feed more often

I LIVE IN ZONE 7AND HAVE CONFEDERATE JASMINE IN TWO PLACES IN MY YARD . ONE IS ON A TRELLIS AGAINST THE BACKSIDE OF MY HOME FACING NORTHEAST AND THE OTHER ON AN ARBOR FACING WEST . THE TRELLIS HAS NO DAMAGE AND SO FAR OVER ABOUT 5 YEARS HAS HAD NO PROBLEMS . THE ARBOR HAS SOME LEAVES THAT HAVE A REDDISH COLOR .

I live in zone 7, and mine thrives. I have it as ground cover by part of my pond to give one a delicious fragrant surprise while listening to the water.

HI William, I have a Confederate Jasmine around my mailbox and it has done well. It's in full sun and likes the sunny days we have in Raleigh. I think Becky is right..you may want to move it to a sunnier location,
