How to do box molding

The dining room molding saga continues ... Finished the chair rail, now I'm working on the box molding around the room.
It is inexpensive and fairly easy to create this high-end molding look in a dining room.
Simple 45-degree-angle cuts on a miter saw will create this look.
To find where I would stick the molding, I measured in 5 inches from the nearest trim on all four sides, then drew a level square where the outside edges would sit.
I primed and painted the molding before making any cuts. The pieces are 1/4" thick and 7/8" wide.
A magic eraser will get rid of any visible pencil marks.
I used the same semi-gloss white paint that covers all the window and door trim in our home.
