Work to Ride Volunteer Gardener Who Was at a Lost, but Look What Grows

The story begins one cool crisp Spring Morning, when this is what I had to work with. Remember this sad sorry post? The rest of photos is just what happened, as I worried and planted anyway.
I have always taken before photos simply to study my approach. However, now in this digital age they prove gems when showing before & afters.
Example of a' terrible before' when I really thought I'd get away with a hammock. It took all of first summer's fill and weeds etc dumped on to this area in order for the next summer's intended plan of putting the picnic table in this very area. It worked too.
Four trees, thee picnic benches, two tire swings and one concrete wall, which I had to paint white first. Look what could be done- what a blank canvas for a gardener.
I learned to start small work with what I had at my feet- literally. Then one container idea became so many....like the following.
Red was my inspiration and many broken bits and pieces one could use and hide flaws. Love working any round pot or container makes for best 360 effect.
My harshest critics gave me this inspirational small wooden log container planter.
Now this one is purple-inspired again in a round container. Old outdoor fireplace used with rusted out holes.
I left them out in the bitter cold as they wave hello everyday, begging to be planted. It amazes me what gets thrown out these days..no respect, I say.
I love starting out my seeded plants and/or cuttings into small decorative containers. For as they get bigger I just pluck out and plant into the ground. If they do not make it for any reason then not all that upset. Remove dying one with something else. It provides all with a nice way to transition while gardening.
If Not for Zenobia's hard work I would not have the garden at the stables I do. What could that be you ask, why digging look at her, head first just like me. Enjoying a well deserved break in mud puddle, and yes that is a mud mask (she is a girl after all.) Thank you to all who stuck around to see us hard at work.

Funny you should mention.....Yes I am in the MIDST OF LAST day rush, to get them all in the ground. Last several years like you just to the green house, so many pants so many containers...then there is heater, and lights, fan for circulation,..As of this year I have chosen to free myself by NO GREENHOUSE hassle, just all in the ground. Thank you for your kind words and comment. Here is to Long cold winter. Good luck may all your plants survive well.
