My Funky Junk Inspired Tool Caddy

Ever since I first saw Donna's amazing tool caddies, I knew I wanted one. So when we found an old hand-made tool box neglected in the basement, I knew I wanted to Funky Junk it.
This old neglected tool box got a new life with some white chalk paint.
It was heavily distressed so that the wood grain showed through.
There was some old dark paint splashed across the sides, so I took the sandpaper to that area so that it would show through.
We cut down a vintage yardstick to use as a handle.

@Heather Benton on the contrary. It brings her so much joy! That's why I tagged her. :)
  • Oh wow, this is sooooo gorgeous Heather! I'm so proud of your build! What were people thinking using toolboxes for tools anyway?! :) I just love the whitewash feel! Perfectly picketish!
