I would love to see the process to remove the carpet on the stairs and stain the top and paint the riser. My concern is that only the first 4-5 steps have hardwood tops. I'm afraid the rest might be plywood. Not sure how you handle that?

I started ripping up carpet on my stairs but it was glued down. The carpet has a rubber back, any ideas to remove the rubber besides mega scrapeing?

We have a spot that my dog tore in my Kitchen which is sheet rock. I have a piece to put in and do mud, but I have never done that before. Alittle nervous I might not get it to match up. Guess I'll find out soon enough. I have put this off for 3 years I am ashame to say. I have it covered up right now so its not as noticeable.

I have dark brown hollow doors and want to paint them in white. That's no problem I think, but I also want to put in some windowpanes so the light from the rooms can come through in the living room. Or replace the doors with french doors but I am not sure how to do that. I bet the hinges will not match.. Do I have to get out the wood around the doors ?
