Is it possible that you could post pictures of the area you plan on renovating? Having a visual idea of your project will prove to be helpful in providing design suggestions. -
What are the measurements of the area you are working with? And if you can post pictures of the space that would be great. -
Did you accomadate for an escape window, You cannot define a space as a bedroom if it dow not have an escape window. most people wont consider this when finishing a basement. -
Research Escape or Egress window -
Do you have plumbing pipes already in the slab for your bathroom? -
Good point Yamini. Do you have a layout? -
Consider Faux Stained Glass for your window to create a bright opening and add privacy with out window coverings protruding into the space. For free window covering consultation, call Jim at Made in the Shade 770-606-8013. Yamani is correct, you need an egress windo to consider it a true bedroom by code and by real estate standards. -
Good call, Yamini. When doing larger DIY projects, always research federal, state and local building code requirements to make sure your new addition is a legal one! -
