Help!

This is my living/dining/ kitchen room. I love this airy, pleasant look: http://ow.ly/8Ku2m What are my next steps? How do I get there? Ideas?

You have such a beautiful space to start with. I think you need direction in color, flow and texture. I love the couch you currently have. Check out these chairs on Pinterest- http://pinterest.com/yaminim/chair-affair/.

You can buy accent chairs that suits your style, color and budget. ...»

Check out rugs at west elm and Etsy.com for throw pillows .

Art from art.com and you have yourself a room looking like that.

Let know if you need help putting together a mood board like the one shown in the blog, I'd be happy to help a home talk member.

I always start with an inspiration piece and build from there. Do you have a favorite scarf, painting, bowl that really makes you smile. Is this your home? You can paint, add fluff pillows, art and a few other things to freshen up your current stuff and have a whole new look with minimum cost. I designed my entire kitchen based on an antique mirror I found in an old shop.

I would hang a mirror on the wall next to the pretty arched doorway to reflect the light coming in.

Yes this is my apartment. Hmm... these ideas help get me thinking more. Yamini I adore those chairs. Do you think I should look for some that match to make a set? Or is mismatch just as good?

Faldra, I have a painting (paint by number by my grandpa) and some nifty old fabric from my Grammy that I hadn't thought of pulling out before- maybe this can be fun. Or maybe the curtains I found at World Market will make a good start.
