I did some organizing and gave a 2nd guest bedroom some 'dressing room' touches (crown molding shoe storage, thrift store finds, shelving, extra closet rods, nail polish organization, DIY folding/dressing screen from bi-fold closet doors, etc.) #bestof2012#OrganizedHome
Never seen the crown molding shoe storage. Very creative. I don't think it would work for me as I only wear sneakers and biking shoes, but it's a neat idea.
I love the jewelry holder. I know people have made their own , but I dont make holes in plates. Anyone know how I can make one, craft style? glue, plates, what else?
@ Roeshel...thanks for the idea! I DO have candle sticks and I have glue and I have plates! hahahaha all set to go , now I just need the umph!
Years ago I was doing yard Art..or garden art, I bought piles of glasses cups candle sticks vases, etc. I did a few totems, then I ran out of nrg and room to store the pieces. A year later I took them all back to Gwill! Now of course I wish I had all those pretty pieces. I have several vases

to make a tree outside when it is warmer...sort of like a bottle tree!
Hi! Yes I did share on 2 threads..I am REVISITING your thread, and now I notice your jewelry tier is not necessarily clear glass. I want to smack myself because at GWill I saw some beautiful plates that now I see would have been so interesting and pretty.. I got into a clear glass thought, and now I am second guessing myself. oh well, after i finish about 25 of these from my stash , I can start looking for regular plates and bowls, right?

I do love the look and feel of the room. Light and airy, yet comfy.
The only thing I noticed was the boots, they have to to breathe inside so the clamping of the top portion not good for long time storage. http://www.hotboots.com/bootinfo/storage.htm... (not my site, found through google search) shows the clips on each side of the top portion of the boot to let the leather breathe for the inside. I am sure you

will end up with a mark from the clip as well (needs padding). Maybe the wood hanger (pant type) could be cut for custom fit. Or place boots upside down as the site had an example of. I know boots are a big investment, just suggesting you keep their value and integrity intact.
Thanks, Mary. I haven't found my way of storing my boots damaging at all - no marks, okay without airflow. Maybe it's because mine aren't real leather but great suggestion. Thank you. :)
I used to remodel homes and do custom closets. I would have a way of storing certain items including footware that harbors foot moisture after being worn. That was the only reason I mentioned it. Thanks for your reply! It is wonderful to be organized isn't it? I am in the process of organizing our downsized home that came with not much storage!
So many good ideas here. I never thought about finding a place for little shelves to hold nail polish. And the shoe racks are the bomb! On top of that it is all so pretty. Tiny bit jealous ;)

But I think I can get to this pretty soon.
