Easy Valentine Decor

I used some "found" lath wood to make this fun and oh so easy project. I have some tips on the blog for those who may not have tools to do a project like this.
Easy red heart decor made out of old lath wood, is the perfect addition to my Valentine Mantel.
someone told me this: "don't waste your time picking it up. let the contractor throw it away. that's what HE got paid for"

oh well! free is free, and I love a good challenge.
I cut the lath boards with my compound miter saw. You may notice they are whitish on one side and brownish on the other side.
I made a simple hart stencil with my Silhouette Portrait, as well as a stencil for the word LOVE in a script font.
I used two smaller pieces of lath wood to hold the boards together on the opposite side. Some Gorilla Wood Glue and the weight of the thrift store books made it easy. No tools involved!
I attached the boards on the dark side of the sign. So, now I have a double sided valentine sign, and I can switch it out by turning it around.
