Shabby French Painted Jars

Have you ever tried painting jars and using them for home decor?
--------
Jars are some of my favorite things to paint, distress and decorate and I really love using them all around my home. They can be easily adapted to your needs and used both for storage but also for aesthetic purposes.
They can be filled with fresh or dried flowers and they will instantly revive any dull corner in your house. They can also be gifted to special friends, I'm sure everyone will love them! :)
You can make them in whites or beautiful pastels.
To create a Shabby Chic effect you will need two contrasting colors, candle wax and sandpaper. And a little bit of patience! :) Patience is quite essential in achieving this look, because all the coats have to dry completely before moving to the next steps.
I usually use acrylics to paint them, but I also had great results with chalk paint and milk paint.
You can find all the steps for painting & distressing the jars on the blog.
You will also find the details on how to complete the chic look of the jars by decorating them with French decals.

And, if you love the French graphics I used, you can download them for free from my blog.

Have fun creating your own Shabby French painted jars! :)
