Vintage Valentine Sweater Wreath

I recently felted a vintage wool sweater I had on hand without really knowing what I was going to do with it once I'd finished. Looking at it and mulling it over, I decided to use it to decorate a grapevine wreath I had on hand.
The process was really quite simple. Cut the body of the sweater into strips and wrap it around the wreath, gluing as you go. The felting (washing in hot water and drying on hot) prevents the strips from unraveling.
Once the wreath was wrapped, I had decide how I wanted to decorate it. I could have found some silk flowers or other kind of embellishment, but I decided to go monochromatic and use the remains of the sweater.
I used my Sizzix Big Kick die cut machine to make a bunch of flowers and then layered them onto the wreath. I used some pearl embellishments for the centers. After hot gluing them in place, I was done! You can find more specific instructions on my blog. I'd love for you to come and visit. Be sure to say hi :)
