American Redbud Tree: A Classic!
by

This spring flowering tree grows in zones 5-9, so it was new to me when we moved to N.C. a few years ago! The most unusual thing about it is the way flowers grow directly on the trunk! Look for it in April, before the leaves appear.

Donna Hill on Apr 24, 2013I have never saw these. We have what (my Daddy) called Redbud here in WV but it is not like this, anyone know where I might find one? Daddy always told me when the redbuds bloom, it is time to plant corn.

Douglas Hunt on Apr 25, 2013Donna, a redbud should not be that hard to find at a good local nursery in your area.
