Kitchen Cabinet Door Makeover

I have something with dumpsters, I know… Every time I have a look I find something to bring home with me.
This time I found one kitchen cabinet and two kitchen cabinet doors. The cabinet is now a play kitchen for the girls, but I left the doors waiting for some inspiration because it was clear it needed a hack
And that day arrived, do you know that moment when a bulb lights in your head? That is. I decided to transform one door into a wall hanger with a cute image I designed (http://shop.sweethings.net/product/digital-collage-au-vieil-acacia/).
I have to apologize because sometimes I just forget taking pictures of the process, but it is so easy I will explain.

I painted it with DIY chalk paint (http://sweethings.net/diy-chalk-paint/) so no sanding was required, two layers was enough. One layer is enough in the central part, just a little paint so the glue stays in place. While drying, I printed the image and cut to the size I needed.

Once the paint was fully dried, I mixed in a bowl some white glue with water (you have to get a mix which is not thick and not watery) and applied with a brush where the image would be. Then I placed the print there and press with a plastic bag to remove any air bubbles and avoid damaging the image.

Then I distressed the borders, wax it all and I gave to coats of varnish on the print. I chose some pretty hangers and done!
