Make new shelving from vintage metal crown molding.

I like they way they look against the black wall.
I used more dark wax than I usually do.
This was a 4 foot section of metal crown molding.
I built a frame to hold the cumbersome metal pieces and attach the sides.
I used molding to cover the top edge of the molding piece.
I traced and cut side pieces.
