Stainless Steel Fridge

Hi guys!! I have another Kitchen appliance cleaning question. I was cleaning off my stainless steel fridge door and it was clean but it has all these little fine scratches on it. Is there a way to get rid of those? I couldn't believe how many scratches were on it and don't know how they got there, it's crazy! They're super fine but they are there. I use a paper towel and my stainless steel cleaner and (embarrassed to say) I don't clean the doors that often. It's a side by side door fridge quite large. Thanks, I look forward to the answers I may get!!

Scratches in stainless are tough to deal with. Stainless already has a "grain" to it and any scratch removal needs to be done with that grain in mind. Most remedies I've seen essentially involve re-scratching the finish, but it's done in the direction of the grain to eliminate the unwanted scratches. You should be able to google something about stainless steel scratch removal. Good luck!

3M makes some scrub pads and if you use the Green pad, wet, and rub with slight pressure in the direction of the grain,,,you should be able to eliminate most of the scratches. This method also works well on stainless sinks. Go easy and take your time. Gary

Thanks for your help!! Gary-LandlightS so funny you should recommend that! That is exactly what I decided to do!! I have those 3M green "scrub" pads, I didn't even use water, I used it dry and went up and down with the "grain" (thank you John) and it did in deed remove the scratches. I went real easy and then wiped it with my stainless steel cleaner and it looks pretty good. Thank you for your suggestions!
