Repurposing Ugly Art
Here are two pieces I have completed that I call refunked art. I took old outdated mass produced prints and added a quote to them with stencils and a sharpie, no paint!! I did sand to make the look softer.
You can use the frame and the art as two projects by hanging them unframed, I'll tell you how.
You can also add chalkboard paint to old canvasses and even those prints on fiberboard, 2 to 3 light coats of chalkboard paint. I painted this huge, 2 x 4 foot canvas and used it as a sign for my booth a the antique mall.
