Your little DIY'ers need a great place to build their next creation! This kids workbench stands 24″ high, fitting for a broad range of ages. A grid of pegboard and a shelf underneath let your little builder store all their tools in easy to reach spots and help keep everything tidy when it’s time to clean up. Hidden pocket hole joinery makes this build quick and attractive. You can knock this project out in a short weekend or long day.
You can find detailed PDF plans and a full walkthrough for this build on the blog post linked at the bottom of the page.
The back of the workbench is made from 2x2 stock and is easily joined with pocket holes.
Smaller front legs are added along with a series of connecting 1x4's to keep everything sturdy and to give support to the top and the shelf.
Ever wondered how to fill in those unsightly pocket holes without using wood putty? I show you how on the blog post!
A 3/4" MDF top is added to give plenty of play space and room to build their wonderful creations.
The pegboard grid is a great spot for storing all their tools, screws and bolts for their big build.
