#bestof2012 A quick last minute decision to give our stairwell landing a little character using things I already had on hand: left over paint, tape, accessories, light fixture...a little crazy but I think it's so much better! Using Frog tape, I created a fun pattern on the wall with paint.
Little corner table gets a new 'mustard' finish for a pop of color.
Looking up into the hallway.
Before was dull and lacking interest.

Very cool idea and something alot of our readers could try themselves....great thing about most paint work, if you don't like it...it's easy enough to redo!

Thanks everyone! I wouldn't recommend taping a pattern on a huge wall (time consuming) but it's perfect for giving a small wall a fun accent.

I'm always astonished when people get such crisp lines with tape. It seems I always get seepage under it.

Doug - I used Frog tape and rubbed the edges with a credit card. In the past, I've painted the edges of the tape with the base color after rubbing with a credit card. Any seepage was then the same base color before I went on to using another color.
