Re-modeled girls bedroom (aged 7 & 2) in a shabby chic style

All the pieces of furniture were from Ebay or bought in sales and the curtains, cushions, bunting i made myself :-)
The house/shelf unit was £10 on Ebay, it has functioning windows, a lift up roof and drawers at the bottom. Behind the curtain next to the wardrobe are a series of shelves holding lots of clothes.
Storage units are from Argos, 3 for the price of 2, total cost £70. The purple foam mats were £22 from Ebay.
The curtain is made from an old white sheet which i have topped with a heart ditsy material and patchwork hearts at the bottom. I also used the same sheet and material to make the pelmet and padded bow tie-backs on the main curtains.
The pink clothes rail was £4 in a sale at a shop called B&M Bargains. The white wicker basket underneath was £6 same place and i've decorated it with left over bunting from the pelmet. The sofa bed was £42 on Ebay.
This is a mid-sleeper upside down, eventually it will be a castle bed when hubby gets the time.

Did you say there were shelves behind the curtain with clothes on them ? What type of shelving did you use ? Do the curtains stick out b/c of the shelves ? The entire room is beautiful :)

Hiya Colleen...no the shelves are in the recess so they don't stick out at all. The recess is about a foot in depth maybe? so although the shelves arn't huge i am surprised with how much they hold! I used old skirting boards cut to size and they are attached with wooden battons...one side screwed to the wall the other side screwed to the wardrobe (hubby removed the access screws from the inside of the wardrobe with a grinder) Hope that helps! And Thank you for the lovely comment x
