How to Make a Fabric Ribbon Rag Backdrop

$80
Easy
This post is a little different than my usual. Its an actual DIY tutorial on how to make a fabric-ribbon-rag backdrop. I have a small staging addiction, whether props or backdrops, etc. Everything staging!
What kind of crazy person buys fabric to cut it up? .. Me!! I cut all the fabric into long strips.

Next I grabbed a role of thick jute rope to tie all the fabric ribbons to.
The backdrop adds a whimsical touch of color. To see the full post and find out what fabric I used, as well as where I purchased it you can find that info here: http://www.justthewoods.com/how-to-make-a-fabric-ribbon-rag-backdrop/

Where did you get that beautiful desk, did you paint it yourself?

What does the curtain look like at the top where it's tied to the jute? Curious how that all works out.

What a lovely soft look this has! It's a lot of work, but sure was worth it! Hugs

I love this idea for behind a bed to match a patchwork quilt also. I also love your desk. I have an old vanity that is screaming to be up cycled. In fact the whole 1940'sbedroom set needs work as the veneer is pealing in spots. I'll have to add that to my to-do list. I'm starting to think l have to quite this site as my list is already a mile long and growing with the amazing ideas I see on this site.
