For stubborn baked on grease I use Greased Lightening, available at Walmart. Spray it on, leave a good while and then scrub. Repeat until clean.

counter top oven as in a toaster oven? check the manufactures web site on preferred cleaning. i've been known to use easy off on the cold oven, let it sit for an hour or so and scrub with nylon scrubbie. there are also "splat mats" now made to fit toaster ovens, silicone black mat liner for reg ovens and counter top models. saves a lot of scrubbing. burnt food doesn't stick.

If it is a toaster oven they usually have a tray at the bottom that comes out.Spray with a degreaser and soak until the grease is soft enough to scrub off.For the inside be careful of oven cleaner getting on the elements. I would use Mr Clean Magic eraser on the rest.
    • @Janet Pizaro ...I agree with Mr. Clean magic Eraser, does an amazing job on toasters, toaster ovens, refrigerators, stoves....:) I use a product called Krud Kutter for really greasy and dirty ; stuff' , it will even take off dried on paint. :)

Liquid DISHWASHER soap, not dish soap, works well for removing hard baked on grease. Use gloves and a scrub sponge as it is harsh on the hands!

I use a paste of baking soda and rubbing alcohol and it works wonderfully well at removing grease w/o fumes or spending a lot of $$ Put it on quite thick and let it sit for awhile then scrub.

A paste of baking soda & peroxide also does a good job - I use it on my ceramic cooktop. Simple Green or other such degreaser would also be worth trying. In my toaster oven I always use the pan & line it with tin foil. No scrubbing - just throw it away when soiled
