Have you ever known me to pass up solid wood furniture left on the side of the road? No? That's because I rarely do! And when I saw these two seriously sad tables out for the trash, I basically caused a minor traffic jam in our town to throw them into the back of my car.
They were GRIMY. And it appeared the previous owners had added some sort of top to the table to make a larger cubby? I don't know. It was weird. I coudn't figure it out. I cleaned them up with some Orange-Glo and then sanded them down as best I could. I tried for one day, using the cubby for magazines - but the cubby was so deep my magazines kept getting lost. So, I decided it would be 'so long weird cubbies!'.
I rooted around my studio for some paint and settled on a vibrant and soft minty green hue. Then I found some scrap balsa wood, fabric and decorative tacks.

And there you have it! My free roadside tables! I have some more pics of these tables in our sunroom on the blog and links to some of our other roadside makeovers too! So make sure you visit the link below for the full reveal and details. Thanks for reading :) - Erin
