How to Repurpose Old Desk and Chair for a Special Girl!

I had been looking for a cute desk & chair that would be a good size for a very sweet little gal. I've known her & her mom for a long time. They recently suffered a great loss & I wanted to add a little sunshine to their day! I came across this one at a local antique store for $20.00.
I painted the desk & chair white, using American Decor chalk paint. She loves pink so I purchased some cheetah print fleece & some wrapping paper to match.
Since her favorite color is pink, I wanted to make it very girly but not too baby looking. I painted the drawers pink on the sides so it's just as cute with the drawers pulled out too.
Next, I took the wrapping paper & cut out a bunch of the flowers, then just tore around the edges to give me a ragged edge.
I then just mod podged it randomly on the desk. Halfway through, I ran out of mod podge & it was too late to run to the store, I googled how to make my own. All you do is mix equal parts of school glue & water, which I had on hand, it works just as good if not better than the store bought mod podge & a heck of a lot cheaper!
I also took the wrapping paper & mod podged it inside the drawers!
I got some pretty pink glass knobs at Hobby Lobby to really get that girlie look on!
And here's the little princess with her new desk and chair! That smile is worth a million dollars to my heart!
