I finally got tired of having all my tools scattered all over my garage and decided to build 4 cabinets to hold it all

(well, almost all). They are on casters so I can roll them around when needed, but you must roll them out to open them up.

I am only curious. They look awesome and great space saver. My question is are they top heavy.

This is awesome! Do you have detailed plans or drawings on how you did it? My garage is a blank slate.

Kevin E. These are always on a flat level surface and roll around on the concrete floor without any problem. The only time I roll them around closed is to move them away from the wall to sweep the floors and I've never once felt like they were going to tip. When they are open, they are even more stable.

Vicki D. I do not have any detailed plans. However, in my last post, I gave dimensions of the ones I built and rough description of method.

That's awesome. that's a great way to get a lot of storage in a small area. Great thinking, wish I would have thought of it. Hope you don't mind if I steal your idea.

You could conect two of them with a work bench instead of needing saw horses with 2x4s and pins

Looks good. You can use pegboard for the wall to save up some space just like in this http://www.pegboard-hooks.net site

An organized garage ~ what a concept. I have to park inbetween the 'stuff'. Now if my husband would see this - oh, wait he'd start building them and not finish this project either!!! :D

Dang! I just about ruined another keyboard drooling over this! I think I need one of the plastic covers that allows me to type but protects from moisture.

This is absolutely awesome Richard H. For the not so handy woodworker I can see them being made from store bought bookshelves with a little modification and reinforcement.
