Unusual serving dish

This dish has me puzzled. It has this sort of tray with 3 holes that sits inside. The markings on the back of the dish say Pillivuyt France and a number. I looked online but can't find one that is the same. Maybe the tray with the holes doesn't belong to the dish? Any idea what it is used for?

Hello Bron It's hard to tell the size of this dish but it appears to be a soap dish. The piece with the holes gets inserted on top of the bottom dish. When a bar of soap is used and placed in the dish, any water drips into the base and keeps the soap drier. Only a guess as, again, I can't tell what the actual dimensions are.

Some asparagus plates/dishes are quite expensive. You should look it up to find out how much yours may cost/worth.
