New Red Front Door at the Flip House

My absolute favorite transformation at the so far? The red front door. It came out even better than I imagined in my head and I am absutely thrilled with the result.
Here's a peek at the finished door.
Here's the before. I picked up a white-primed, Craftsman-style steel door off the shelf at Lowe’s for about $220 to replace the inefficient and not-very-safe old door. I chose a door and jam combination to keep the installation as simple as possible. Buying a door off the shelf is typically about half the price of special ordering one.
Because of the cold outdoor temps around here, it was important for me to paint the door inside prior to installation.

I chose Modern Masters® Front Door Paint in Sophisticated – a rich, deep red. This paint’s claim to fame is that it never fades.
When painting doors, I always start with the recessed area of the panels, then work my way out from there. Here's what one coat of Sophisticated looks like.
I ended up applying three coats total to get the uniform, rich color I was going for.

Removing the old front door and securing the new jam in place was a tricky job. Thank heavens I had my amazing husband and dad there to help me with that portion of the project!
Here's what the door looks like now.
What do you think of the transformation?
