I have 4 double pane vinyl windows made by Pella, they are new, with a nail flange. The size of them is 6' tall and 4' wide. I was going to build a sun room but have come to the conclusion that I won't be able to do that. I would like to sell them if I can but they are so large I am not sure how to find someone that would be interested in them. I was asking 300 for all four, got any suggestions?
My boss suggested that I donate them to habitat for humanity and get a tax credit. What do you all think about doing that? I just want the windows to get a good home and not have them go to waste.

If you haven't been able to unload these windows on Craigslist or anything, I think the Habitat idea is solid. That should help them find a good home.

When I was first starting to build my cabin...I cruised Craig's list every few days to find windows and such. I found some good deals. BTW 300 for 4 is a Really good deal....some one will snatch them up quickly.

My suggestion would be to donate.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your input. KMS I thought the price was pretty good too, it is way below retail for these particular windows but so far all I have gotten is scammers and phishers. That is why I thought I would ask here. I figured that someone here might know something I don't.
  • craig's list is a magnet for scammers and lowballers, but if you don't find a real buyer thru there or other local advertising, the H4H donation is a good deal for you and them and whoever gets them making i a win/win/win on these windows

I have had far less trouble with scamers using the "free" section...obviously not for these windows...but As I am cleaning out a rental this week I put in a listing for a couch and some dressers that were left behind...I had over 6 offers...hopefully the lad first in line will take it all and I can delete the others. A couple of years ago we got rid of some stuff in less than an hour using the free listing. Sure beats paying and hauling to the dump...plus it is "green" as these items will still see some use.
