I am finishing the basement. A large part will be my sewing room. It has large sliders and two windows. I want fun colors on the walls.

I do not know how many walls you are speaking of,however my thought is to paint every wall a different color and then accent with your crafts in various colored baskets to coordinate the room.

Orange, red and yellow are said to be "enthusiastic" colors, while purples and greys are said to be "inspiring." I agree with the previous posters - maybe paint walls different, solid colors and frame some of your more whimsical fabrics and hang them on the wall!

@KatAych Another brilliant idea about framing the fabrics on the wall.

What about a garden mural.Start with sky blue on top,add some hills for interest, paint them and the lower sections of the wall a light green color.Start adding flowers as you have time.you could do one whole wall,a sun rising,to make you feel like you are outside.Or paint each wall a location you love to visit. Don't forget to add trees! If you want to keep it one color,I love sky blue! Add a couple of clouds, sorry I can't help myself!

Look at other sewing rooms on the internet. When you see colors that make you gasp, then those are your colors.

Totally agree. I do love white, too, but am really re-thinking some color.
