try spray adhesive and fabric or just sand and paint using a good outdoor course paint with primer. You can add a design by putting lace on then painting!

Wrap a length of lace around it, tie a pretty bow, perhaps add a charm or flower. Or buy some pretty stickers, apply, and seal with a clear spray sealer.

My family had a lot of seamstresses. They would change them in to dolls with changeable outfits. They had excess scrapes :) I would spray paint them (my fav) silver.

I reallly liked the Williams-Sonoma pump bottles with lotion and hand soap in a wire basket holder. So I bought inexpensive versions of soap and lotion at the dollar store and made my own "knock off" labels. That made them prettier for us. :-) You could make your own labels too to whatever suits your fancy :-)

You can easily spray paint them any color you want. I would use a flat spray paint first. I would then paint a rectangular area with chalk paint for a label. You can then add any embellishment you like for added beauty.
