DIY Flokati/Shag rug

This is an oldie, but goodie. I made this tutorial when I first started blogging and had a rather crappy camera. Regardless, it is still one of my favorite creations! Easy, but time consuming.
Using jersey fabric and a latch hook canvas, you can create your own shaggy rug.
Individually cut strips are looped and tied to create a thick, comfy rug that holds up well.

You have FAR more patience than I could ever hope to have...but I do believe the hard work was well worth it. We have a store bought version of your rag rug. I absolutely love how cushy it feels underfoot.
  • I have been wanting one of these and this looks simple enough to do.... love it...
