The Lazy Girl's Secret to Caulking Baseboards

I'm happy to admit it... I'm lazy. But that's OK because I believe most productivity tools are created by people who are just trying to get out of doing extra work. Really, we're doing society a favor by being lazy! So here it is...the lazy girl's secret to doing baseboards!
The best tool you can use to save your knees and back while caulking, painting, or cleaning your baseboards is not to be found in the garage, but on your patio.
My secret is a rolling plant stand, sometimes called a plant dolly. They are sturdy and built for carrying heavy potted plants, and the rolling casters make them perfect for moving in any direction and scooting around your baseboards.
Simply collect your tools on a tray and drag it around with you as you scoot along the wall, working on the baseboards. This keeps you from having to sit and stand a million times or wear out your knees crawling along the floor. Of course, it works best on hard floors, which is really where you'll be glad to not be on your knees!
Now that you know my lazy secret, check out the blog post for more info and a full tutorial on how to caulk your baseboards.

Very smart ladies! Will take the idea of the rolling plant stand, but have hubby make one with better quality wheels, heavy butt cushion, and maybe a clip or two so I can attach a paint pan for me tools. Really good jumping off point. Now, if I can just find a way to make a steady hand!

Along with a bad back, I got a mechanics rolling stool from Harbor Freight which does not affect the back because its not as close 2 the floor.

That’s what I did too! I have had back, knee and open heart surgery so my body is shot but I still try and figure out ways to do things the stool on wheels works great mine even has a shelf on the bottom to hold tools. Where there’s a will there’s a way!
