Painting Vinyl With Chalk Paint.

I've read about how great chalk paint can be for surfaces other than wood. I've used it on metal with great success. I've heard of others using it on cloth upholstery, but how about vinyl?
So last fall I decided to conduct a little experiment and I painted the vinyl seat on an old doctor's stool with chalk paint. I've used the stool quite a bit and so far it is holding up great.
So when my husband dragged this ugly vinyl chair home for me, I decided to paint it as well.
I used Annie Sloan's Provence and Old White on the vinyl ...
And then painted the chair legs in Fusion's Copper metallic.
I recovered the bottom of the chair in some vintage barkcloth.

Love the chair, what are your thoughts on using chalk paint on a leather ottoman?

Do you think chalk paint would hold up on outdoor furniture? I would love to freshen up my patio furniture. The fabric has an open woven texture.

Need to paint a vinyl chair I have that’s similar to them ones you did here. I have a couple chalk paint colors leftovers from other projects, but none of them are Annie Sloan brand. Do you think this would work with another brand of chalk paint? I imagine it’s the type of paint that matters, not necessarily the brand, but just want to see what you thought. Thanks in advance!
