Headboard Boring to WOW Outta This World, DIY Galaxy Night Light.

My vision of a night light headboard was something I thought would be fitting for a child's room. Fitting with all the Star Wars theme going on now, but not limited to.
So, if your ready, lets get started for a cosmic ride into Unicorn Spit decor.
This is photographed under a black light.
My first step was to prep by sanding the sides. The middle section will be covered by 1/4 inch plywood, so no reason to prep. Please no more sanding than necessary, right??
I then used watered down Unicorn Spit to paint sides.
Next step is to trace the headboard onto plywood at the top and cut. I did both sides separate.
Screw front panel only on to frame. Then screw on trim.
Before using my Unicorn Spit I drilled holes all over in random places to allow the light to shine thru. I then proceeded with the artistic process of making a galaxy with my new beloved wood gel stain Unicorn Spit, and WOWZA.
I still had to place lights inside the headboard before attaching the back. I wire tied a 6 ft strand of rope lights to the middle of the headboard. Cut small hole for cord. I also decided to place heavy duty aluminum tin foil to the inside of the back panel to help light reflect. Attached back panel. Lights out...VIOLA'
Just Imagine sleeping under the stars in the comfort of your own bed. This is a great way to find your bed a night too!!
Yes, I made the TARDIS night light too.
