Vintage Mason Canning Jar Lids Become Geometric Coasters

Thank you - I appreciate it!
I found these old mason jelly jar lids in an enamelware canning pot I confiscated from my parents filled-to-the-brim garage. Not only did I score a canning pot that I use often, I also got new items to use in my projects! As soon as I saw the lids, I knew I wanted to make them into coasters.
I found some cork coasters
and used the lids to trace a circle on each one.
After cutting them out, I used painter's tape to mark off different geometric patterns and painted on three different colors.

I absolutely love taking old objects and giving them a new purpose and a new life. If you share the same love, please come on over to my blog to see what I've done with old knife blocks, vintage rulers, antique door knobs, old scarfs, and a bunch of other items that others might pass up as garbage! http://www.refreshliving.us/refreshingthehome/diy-upcycled-projects
