i want to start a small greenhouse on the south side of my garage so i am going to make me a frame and plant some seeds!

i hope the heat from the sun will be retained by the garage and the heat lamp will help too i get to work with what i have like most of us!

    That is a great way to get a head start on the season, Deb, and the south side of your garage would be the perfect location. You may want to start with something as simple as a cold frame.     Solid things in the greenhouse will help retain heat. Use concrete blocks and bricks painted black anywhere you can. They will gain heat during the day and release it at night.

    i am excited my cold frame is near complete some insulation on the two out side walls and lighting to install then i am going to test the heat index and get started it is 56 by 49 of reclaimed lumber i plant on painting the outside to match the house and the inside to grow plants! a picture will follow, this was a learning adventure and i hope to have more!
