These homeowners loved to entertain, but realized that their 1980's kitchen didn't work for them. Having the cooktop in the peninsula, with no venting, and very close to the sink, work space was a bit crowded. The refrigerator was located across the room and required many extra steps to retrieve items for preparing the meals. Their goal was to eliminate the peninsula and add an island with seating. Another primary goal was to locate the refrigerator closer to the actual work area.
