Electrical & Lighting Living & Dining Room Painting

Hand painted 5 1/2 foot ceiling wreath in my living room.

I tied a string to a pencil, then to the previous ceiling fan fixture and drew a 5 1/2 foot circle on the ceiling. I then painted leaves and vines using acrylic paints. Several years later we installed the medallion and vintage chandelier for it's current look.

That's pretty cool. How long did it take you to do that?

Believe it or I did this the day before Thanksgiving. These ceilings are 10 foot so I was up on a high ladder. It only took about and hour and half and the only worries was if it did not work out, how was I to paint the ceiling back white without paint on a holiday with company coming? Would have been a funny story for all to tell.

I would like to try that--did the painting of leaves take you a long time? You must have had a very stiff neck...

It took me an hour and a half. Yes it is bad on the neck, so I don't do ceilings often.
