Repurposing a Garage Sale Cabinet

Homeroad
by Homeroad
This old knotty pine cabinet was $5.00 at a garage sale. The good news was that it had castors, a drawer and a lot of cabinet space. I brought it home, painted it with some home made chalk paint, added cubbie storage to the top and now I have a great storage piece for my craft room! Not a bad deal!
Ugly but do-able!
Stylish shelf paper lines the drawers and shelves
Plenty of storage!
Replaced the hardware and painted an inexpensive shoe organizer to match...
The perfect deep storage for all my jars and craft needs!

Just terrific! Any tips on preparing the wood surface for the chalk paint?

Chalk paint needs no prep. Just paint, there are many different kinds of chalk paint and most of them work beautifully!
