After this old dusty chipped frame sat as a chalkboard forever in the shop - it became clear she needed a new life. A customer happened to come in and make a suggestion - so I ran with it. What a great suggestion it was! I recoated the frame with a stain and poly in one, re did the gold accents, added the drawer pulls for handles and had some custom glass cut to go over the corks. And now! VOILA! Find us on Facebook for more daily fun creations! http://www.facebook.com/gypsybarn
The biggest error diy'ers make with these projects is not cutting the corks & using a glue gun. Although it looks great - they wobble and detach easy. Cutting them gives more stability and a good adhesive makes a huge difference!

What did you use to cut the corks and what adhesive did you use? Love the result.

Love this idea! I have several frames, but no corks. Where would I look for a selection of corks?

Talk to local restaurants or bartenders. They often are happy to save them for you.
