how do I get my mirlitons to grow?

I love to garden. I have a small fruit orchard, an organic veggie garden, and tons of flowers. But no matter what I do my mirlitons will not grow. The get beautiful green vines and die within 2 weeks. I have checked the soil, did everything everyone has told me to do and I want them so bad. Does anyone have any ideas????
