Where is your favorite place to buy curtains?

I am looking to purchase some new curtains for my family room. I've looked at places such as Ballard Design, Pottery Barn, Target, JCPenney among others, but wondered if any of you have any ideas I might not thought about. Can't afford custom, and would love it they are affordable. Plus I'm always looking for new places to shop :0
Also, just a note, if you haven't been in a JCPenney in a while, they are totally remodeling and the stores look amazing!!! Very cool new style, great prices, and neat items (I don't work there or have any affiliation to them, just passing it along)

My entire home does not contain a single curtain. The windows in the bedrooms are set up with real wood 1" mini blinds which pretty much stay open ( our home does not really have neighbors in any sight lines and we love our views) The large windows and sliders to the deck are set up with cellular shades that were here when I bought my home...we use these seasonally as the help insulated during our long winters. I got all of the wood mini blinds from Justblinds.com when we did our did addition and remodel about 10 years ago.

Even if you do not sew, you can make curtains very easily. You can make straight curtains and hang with the rod and hook system so you do not have to do anything more than sew the seams. Sheets, towels, and placemats can be made into curtains or valances very easily as well. You can quite often find inexpensive curtains at Dollar General or on clearance that can be sewn together with another curtain or embellished with other material to customize. I have done a lot of that for my adult sons that are just starting out on their own. Country curtains have a lot of nice curtains if you just want to order curtains. Some can be pricey, though.

Try Lowe's. They have some amazing curtains that you won't find elsewhere.
