Can you recommend a good, affordable under-deck system?

Are any of the DIY systems sturdy enough to last longer than a couple of years?

There are many out there have you check the builer partners at bottom to get quote? I would say place a roof over the upper deck.

There are a lot of different under deck systems available; however they are not extremely easy to install. I recomend using a qualified installer for this so you do not overspend or have water issues in the long run.

The roof over the deck would be an easy solution, unless like me, you enjoy catching the rays. As most (good looking) under deck systems are fairly complex and intricately designed, I agree with Hudson and Exovations about hiring a contractor to do this job.

There were some great info/discussion related to this project a while back, Rain-away Under Deck System.

Doug B (Woodstock, GA) I highly recommend Exovations. I have seen the underdeck system and it is attractive and installed professionally. Also backed by Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. See more at Exovations.com

Hi Connie, I assume that you are finished with your project, but if you are not, you owe it to yourself to check out www.rainaway.com and see the difference for yourself. Anytime you are dealing with water and the foundation of your home, it's a good idea to have it installed by a professional. Also, the RA system will come with a lifetime warranty against leaks for the entire life of the deck... Good luck with the project
