A local resale shop was closing it's doors and the last of their merchandise was FREE! I was about the last one to the party and all that was left was the really nasty stuff that nobody else wanted. Of course, I loaded up my truck!
This chair was pretty gross. It took a lot of elbow grease just to get it all clean! I unscrewed all the screws that held it together and took the whole thing apart.
Once I took the old upholstery off the cushion, I saw there was salvaging the cracked vinyl underneath so I put some quilt batting over it and then stapled down my zebra print fabric. I used the old piece of upholstery as my pattern.
Then I went real wild and crazy and got some lime green spray paint! First, I gave it a coat of Plastic Primer spray paint, and then several coats of the lime green. And when it dried and I put it all back together, it was one heck of a fun chair!
I wish I could tell you how well this has held up, but someone bought it. It held up well for about the week it was in my possession, but that's all I can account for! Check out my blog for lots more creative and fun ideas and for a peek inside my old historic home! http://www.kammyskorner.com

How did you keep it from being sticky? I had 2 vinyl chairs I painted and everyone stuck to them. I had them 2 mos, and finally got rid of them, The tackiness never got better.
