Donna, wish we lived closer as I could really benefit from your experience. I am scared silly to just "go for it" with some old furniture I have, including a chest. As always, your work is FANTASTIC!!!!
I bought a Lane cedar chest that someone had just been extremely creative with. He's added curved feet, all kinds of trim and wood medallions, and raised letters spelling "HOPE" across the chest, then painted it just slightly off white for that shabby chic look. It's very special to me.

@ Susan - WE SHOULD TRY TO MAKE IT A REALITY, NOT JUST FANTASY. If you have to go up and over, then you will be in York's general area - grab me and we could carpool!!!! Great idea..if can't be done this year, maybe next...
So let's both add this to our "bucket list" and start saving our loose change for a Shabby Daze Fund!! With the ridiculous price of gas it might be cheaper to take a train or something!!! LOL

@ Susan - it has been announced now, and it is a "we must somehow do it!" Just as soon as enough change has been saved for us both to go! I will work on figuring the best route to get us there as soon as we get cloeser to the time to go. What is Frederick near anyway? I know their is a train next count over from here.
