What a little paint can do! My "Prague" inspired kitchen.

Two tones of yellow, some simple DIY and re-arranging makes an easy, fresh, bright, sun-shiny kitchen full of memories.

Thank you so much. No, I just visited but fell in love with it. My great-great-grandparents were from Bohemia.

Hi Pat - well I did Czech it out and love the old country ambiance you created. I'm sure when you sit in this kitchen you can probably feel a presence of your ancestors all about you!! Great Job.

That's a wonderful way to display your experiences and enjoy them with everyone.

The yellow kitchen is so bright and cheerful.

I work with a Czech carpenter and a tile man occasionally that are real craftsmen.

Hey PPC, INC: Isn't it a shame that there are so few true craftsmen left anymore. It's a dying art and none of the younger generations were interested in pursuing what their "elders" did - learn a trade & knowledge handed down through the families. Machines have taken over so many tasks that a master's hands used to do - but the heart & soul aren't in any of the newer creations sadly!!

Thank you Susan and PPC so much! My next to add to it is little pictures of my grandparents. I do love it. I just have to decide, too, on the floor. As much as I'd love cobblestone, I don't think it would be practical.
    • This is a painting that I bought while in Prague and started it all.

Yah - could be a little rough to stand on - not to mention killing your back too. Now me, I can trip over lint so as much as I might something like this too, I think I'd have better luck leaving it for an outside application!

Be sure to post any updates w/pics!

That's right Susan, everyone wants to get a business degree. I'm not sure how that's going to work.
