Trash to Treasure Lounge Chairs

I found these 2 lounge chairs at a garage sale....for free! They were filthy, but worked.
I cleaned them up the best I could, but they still looked shabby. After I cleaned them and they dried completely, I used a clear coat by Rustoleum made for plastic. I sprayed on only one coat on each. When that dried I sprayed them with a can of Rustoleum Spray paint, made to paint plastic....that's important!

I used 2 1/2 cans of the spray paint all together, not counting clear coat...
I think they came out pretty good. Love them! https://kelleysdiy.wordpress.com/
And when I updated the chairs....I made this cool Seashell table...you can see at: https://kelleysdiy.com/

How have they held up since last season? Do you think you'll have to re paint each season? Did they ever chip off on wet swim suits?

nice job, did you have to seal it after the paint? Or does the plastic paint not need a sealer?

Thanks Linda, I went home and spray painted top portion, I was so amazed going to paint bottom this evening after work. I got my paint at Walmart for plastics. I had always tried white I guess that's the reason they never turned our good. I'm glad I kept these chairs I think they are about 50 dollars a piece now. Thank you so much.

@Sarah Your so welcome. There is a product from Rustoleum that is a sealer for plastic. You can spray this on...1 coat...let dry.....then use the white spray paint. Works great!
