Easter Egg BeanBags | Corn-Hole

A well-loved game is given a springtime makeover with these super-adorable Easter egg shaped beanbags. Keeping the kids happy and entertained will be a breeze with this fun twist on an old classic... corn-hole.
Corn-hole is a popular game in the Midwest... it might very well be popular in other parts of the world too... it's a lawn game, played with beanbags. The great part about this game... kids and adults of all ages can play. If you are curious about how the game is played, lots of good information is available all over the internet. For this spring-inspired version, I made egg-shaped beanbags.
So cute...and who knew that keeping all your eggs in one basket would work out so well!!
When I host a holiday gathering, I like to have plenty to keep the kids busy. This Easter egg inspired corn-hole game will be perfect...Just like these 'Bunny Sack Races...Hop on over to the Blue Ribbon Kitchen Blog -Bunny Sack Tutorial for all the details on how to make this fun project!
For the Easter egg bean bags I traced an egg shape onto a cereal box panel.
Using my husband's old shirts, I traced the egg shape in pencil onto the fabric.
Using pinking shears, I cut out the shapes. I made 4 egg beanbags in each color, so I used a total of 16 cut-outs to make the beanbags.
I carefully stitched the bags, leaving a hole to fill with rice. I stitched around the bags a few times to help the beanbags stand up the the tossing they'll get during the game. I also stitched on some white ric-rac....So cute!
Fill each bag. (Traditionally the beanbags are not this shape...and they are filled with dried corn...I'm taking this in a new direction...just for spring!) Fill the bags with any dried bean or grain. Sew the opening closed when finished.
Here is the completed Easter egg shaped beanbag.
Need more kid-friendly fun?? Try filling plastic eggs with fairy garden pieces. The kiddos LOVED making fairy gardens and this was a wonderful way to cut down on sugary treats. They made fairy gardens that they used ALL summer long. Find out all the details here: Fairy Garden Easter Egg Fillers
